Light
by The Dragoon
(Same Battle as Darkness but different perspective)
This is a great day for Mankind. I Erik the High and over 1000
of our mightiest wolfbane warriors stand an open field of battle ready
assault on one of Alergoths Citadels. Between us and victory is one of
darkness mightiest armies. Pentorians, Razades, and enough undead to
fill every grave on earth twice. There was even a beast I have never
seen before. Intel says its called a Pretorian behemoth, I call it a
f**king big trophy. "IMPERIAL!!!!" Jonathan the Chieftain roars, his
voice fires are hearts and makes us ready for battle. "IMPERIAL!!!" we
echo back. "CHARGE!!!!!!" We all start running, running like all the
world depends on it, Because it does. I feel honored to fight in this
battle, honored to fight with these, mightiest of warrior, honored to
fight in the Imperial name. All I can hear is the roar of the warriors
and the sounds of there weapons. All I can see is the row of wolfbane in
front of me as we charge. BOOM!....A explosion rips into our rakes just
ten feet away from me. I duck my head and shield it with my hands. Muds
and dirt pelt us from the air as the debris from the blast falls back to
the ground. I pull out my mighty battle ax. Raise it high over my head
and prepare to meet the darkness.... The row of wolfbane in from of me
disappear in a sea of fire. I look at its source to find a stalker, not
even bracing its weapon. I charge right though the flamethrower's sea of
flames, praying as I do. The Behemoth is in a ocean
of wolfbane, slicing and ripping to our rakes. I start to run at the
behemoth who is facing away from me. To this day I don't know why I did
it. I don't know what I was thinking, but I jumped onto the behemoth's
leg and hung on like a Marian leech-bat. I climbed up to the tops of the
behemoth head, raised my ax and slung it with all of humanity behind me.
The ax ripped into it behemoth's neck. Almost severing its spine. The
behemoth screamed and twisted sending me hurtling to the ground . . .
I woke up later to see a beautiful female medic leaning over me. It
almost seemed unreal, so much silence in a place of so much dead. "Are
you ok?" she said with a grin.
