This system uses counters to represent different missions to use during a Warzone battle. Normal VPs still apply.
Counters: The counters I used were from WD197 although you can make your own. If you do this there should be 2 groups of 12 counters. There should be 4 Take and Hold missions, 2 of Cleanse, Bombard, and Capture and 1 of Assault and Rescue per group.
Placing Objectives: The Objective Counters are placed in 2 groups of 12. Each player rolls 2D6 to determine the number of counters used. They can look at them but should not show them to the other player. These are them placed face-down on the table, at least 4" away from the edge and 8" away from other counters. They should be placed on suitable areas relating to the objectives. Note, that you are placing objectives for your opponent to get.
Scouting Objectives: To uncover a counter a unit must move withing 4" of it and use 1 Action.
Missions:
Take and Hold-This is a vital position that must be held. A unit must be within 2" of it at the end of the battle to recive the points. Capture-This counter represents supplies or ammunition. A unit within 1" must spend 1 Action point to achieve the objective. Rescue-This represents either special equipment, plans, or devices which must be taken. A model must use 1 Action point to pick it up and then get it off the board. If the model is killed or panics the counter is dropped at the spot.
Cleanse-This is an area that must be kept clear of any enemy. If at the end of the game there are no enemies within 4" the objective is achieved. Bombard-The bombard counter represents an area that must be destroyed. It could be placed on a building or on the ground it could reperesent buried cables, mines, or undergroung tunnel/shelter. If it is placed on a building or structure it should be given a Armor Value and Wound according to the structure. If it is place on open ground then it has an Armor Value of 26 and 2 wounds.
Assault-This is a device that must be destroyed in CC. It has an Armour Value of 24 and 1 wound.
Victory Points: Each Objective achieved is worth 1/100 of the total # of Points per side rounding up. Ex. In a 300 point game each objective is worth 3 points.
I wish to compile as many missions/objectives as possible. If you have an idea, I would very much like to include it
in this site! You will be given credit for any ideas you send me.
