A Imperial spy has reported that a very famous Cybertronic professor has
invented a new type of explosive of an unprecedented power.A drop of it has
the power of ten Nitrosynite mines. It is evident that if the formula comes
in the wrong hands, the result could be a catastrophy.
As it doesn't mean anything to destroy the formula (the scientist could put
it down on a paper in a second's time)., they decided to kidnap the
scientist to try to persuade him to work for Imperial instead.
An invention of this importance couldn't pass unnoticed by Mishima spies.
The Mishima corporation has conducted research on Hyperexplosives for years
now (for use in Gigameks missile heads), but the only result they have
achieved is to blow up their best equipped laboratory.
The Dark Legion knows what the scientist has invented and would do anyting
to get his hands on the explosives' formula. This way, the Dark Legion could
do actions to destabilize the Society, like terrorist actions or other ones
where a miniaturised bomb could be involved.
Professor Jones (the scientist) has received several propositions for the
acquisition of the Feltex hyperexplosive but has refused all of them.
One proposition was more interesting than the other ones.Cybertronic has
proposed (apart of a substantial amount of Credits) a leading position in
the new Cybertronic Research Foundation - Explosives Laboratory.
This proposition was impossible to refuse.
The only thing that Cybertronics asked in counterpart, is the total
discretion of the involvement of Cybertronic in this affair (so that noone
would know that Cybertronic is in possetion of this weaponof mass-destruction).
He has a rendez-vous with a Cybertronic delegation of businessmen (to sceal
the deal) in a small spaceship that will take them to a secret base in the
Venus orbit.
It is Wednesday morning, and the scientist' assistant enters to tell him
that the bodyguards and the limousine has arrived.Mony and Glory is close at
hand ...
The present forces:
Imperial, Mishima and the Dark Legion sends a force to kidnap the scientist.
Each corporation/Legion plays against each other (but temporary alliances is
possible). They have sent those squads to ambush the scientist's limousine.
The professor (controlled by the Demomaster) has hired 4 bodyguards (Cartel
miniatures) that are freelancers to protect him.
The bodyguards will shoot at anyone who is not a bodyguard/professor.
To kidnap the professor, you have to knock him down. You knock him down by
succeeding to hit him (I play using the Close Combat rules of the basic
rulebook and not with the rules that appeared in some CftW). Don't roll for
damage as you hit him with your hands. Once you succeeded that, you carry him
on the soldier's shoulders. While a soldier carry the scientist, he moves
half his speed and shoots with a malus of 5 (add 5 to the roll).
If another soldier enters in CC with the soldier that carries the scientist,
the carrying soldier lets the scientist fall on the ground if the attacker
succeeds to hit the 'carryer' (I am not english speaking folks, so sorry if
I invent words). If he hits, roll for damage as usual. The surviving soldier
picks the scientist up and carries him on his shoulders in the same
manner.Spend one action to pick him up.
No one may shoot on the soldier carrying the scientist.
The aim of the game (for each player) is to take the scientist and all the
surviving squadmembers back to the deployment zone and spend one full turn
for the helico to pick them up. No squad member may leave the deployment zone
while waiting on the helicopter.
