FORCE CONSTRUCTION:

• 800 point forces.
• No Personalities.
• No Optional Rules (i.e. Heroic Special Abilites, Artifacts, Relics, Jungle Rules, etc.).
• No Cartel Forces.
• Any troops that include Heroic Special Abilities as part of their profile, may not take Special Equipment that duplicates the effect.
• WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). A force is not allowed to proxy models. The e force must be equipped as the models are armed. (excluding sidearms, grenades, attached grenade launchers, and other General Equipment)
• Your force may only include troops for which models have been released, or which have been converted from existing Heartbreaker models.
• Only troops from the Warzone^TM Rulebook, and the Compendiums may be used.
• Troops must be equipped according to the Casualties of War Restriction list. (Yes, Free Marine Squads and Sea Lion Squads may take a heavy weapon).
• Dark Legion forces must be taken from a single Apostle's force list. You may not mix troops from different Apostles.
• Consider all battlefields to be offworld for Dark Eden tribal forces. (Unless all battlefields are on Dark Eden).
• All models must be fully painted.
• Corporate Forces may not have Tribal Allies and vice versa.

• The standard initiative sequence from the Warzone^TM Rulebook will be used.
• If a model with a heavy weapon is killed, any model adjacent to the slain trooper may "exchange" its main weapon for the heavy weapon as one action. For this reason, leave the model with the heavy weapon on the table. The trooper "picking up" the heavy weapon discards their current weapons, and the model must normally be able to use that type of heavy weapon. (i.e. An infantry trooper can't use a Dragonfire HMG or a basic Etoiles Mortant trooper can't use any Heavy Weapon.) Unclaimed Heavy Weapons do not count their Points Cost for Victory Conditions. (limit of 1 Heavy Weapon per model).

• Standard Deployment Zone layout is used.
• Both players roll 1D20.
• Highest roll gets to choose which deployment zone to use.
• Highest roll also deploys the first squad/individual.
• Players alternate deploying squads until all troops are deployed.
• Roll for initiative.

• Each Game lasts for 6 turns or 2 Hours, whichever comes first.
• Each person should play 3 or 4 games. NOTE: These guidelines are designed for a tournament of 30 people or less. Larger tournaments should use a double elimination system.

• Each table should be at least 4' x 4', with different terrain on each.
• There should be 1 table for every 2 players (or 4 players, If more than 16 players).

• Use a lottery system for initial table assignment. (We usually use 2 decks of cards. If the tournament has 20 players, take 10 matching cards from each deck. Shuffle, and deal 1 card to each player. Players with the same card are at the same table.)
• We normally rotate one player clockwise to the next table. You may choose any way to rotate players, just make sure the no one is against the same person twice.

• Victory conditions are decided by the percentage of your force remaining on the battlefield.
• Subtract the points value of your remaining, unpanicked models on the battlefield, from 800 (the total P.V. of your force).
• Divide the result by 8, rounding to the nearest tenths place (i.e. 31.6%).
• To determine the overall tournament winners, find the average percentage for all games played.
• I have found that this system of victory conditions causes better sportsmanship among players, and is a more realistic view on your forces' success in battle.
• If a player concedes a game, that player recieves no Victory Points.
