Bauhaus The Sisterhood of the Shield
by Peter Bogdasarian

Ever since the first Homebuilder hewed at the foreboding Venusian Jungle with his trusty logging sword, the Shieldmaidens have stood ready to protect him. The Shieldmaidens are a role model for every Bauhaus girl to aspire to, protectors and defenders of the Bauhaus way. They can be recruited from any strata of society - even thralls - if the Order sees potential in the candidate.

Once accepted, the Shieldmaiden is trained at the Order's bastion on Venus, a mountain fortress located near Heimburg, in the arts of protection and counter terrorism. They develop the mindset that the loss of their own lives is valiant as long as their assigned target survives.

Recently, the Brotherhood has opened its doors to promising Shieldmaiden candidates, training them in the Art at the Cathedral of Volksburg in exchange for their assistance in its struggle to eradicate the Dark Legion.

Heroes of the Order

Gerda Romanov - Gerda provided the inspiration for the Order when she dove upon a Mishima Shadow Walker sent to kill her husband and stabbed him to death with a table knife. She was severely poisoned during the fight due to a cut recieved from the Shadow Walker's blade, and spent several months recieving medical treatment. When she recovered, she began training with the House armsmaster, improving her skill in the arts of war. When her husband died two years later leading an assault against Imperial Corporation, she began the Order.

Tasha - Tasha started her life as a runaway Thrall on the streets of Heimberg. It was there that she honed her instincts for survival that the Order would one day take an intrest in. Tasha was discovered by a older Sister who was on a pilgrimage to the Heimberg cathedral, and the sister overlooked the dirty thrall exterior to the talent within. Tasha was brought into the ranks of the Sisterhood, trained and sent to Luna to protect a noble from the Karlstein family. While protecting him, she was attacked by Reapers of Souls from a Temple of Destruction named the Paingivers of the Bloody Scourge. Ever since then, she and the Sisterhood have fought against the Paingivers, a war of terrorism and counter terrorism that has left a trail of broken bodies across our blood drenched Solar System.
