Tyranids in Warzone
For use with Heartbreaker's Warzone
Sci-Fi miniatures game
by Petri Halme

Here's my view on how Tyranids could be introduced into WarZone. Naturally I'd like to get some feedback if there are some gross oversights, or if rules look unbalanced, or if some things need clarifications, etc...

I tried to get the Tyranids fit the atmosphere of the WarZone by making the broods slightly smaller than they were in 40K. Also I took the liberty to change some weapon profiles in an attempt to increase playability and make them fit in WZ. So some procedures with certain weapons may look a little bit odd at first for 40K players, but I'm sure you get the hang of it easily...

I even used some time on figuring the costs for troops, weapons and biomorphs. I did adjustments several times, so they should not be that far off. Costs are probably the thing most people might argue about, but I found the pricing policy in WarZone to be sorta interesting and really would love to hear the designers' opinions on how they figured out the original costs for WarZone troops. Anyway, just remember that I'm a Tyranid player in WH40K, so that should explain a lot ;-)

Take the rules with you when you head for your summer vacation and do some play testing (you should avoid the sunshine anyway...) as we haven't tried them out yet - but they look cool :-)
